Permanent Residents

ZENAH:  Zenah came to us in 2013 along with her sister Siyah (we lost Siyah 2/5/16). They were turned into an Amnesty event run by the State of Florida. Being an approved adopter, while I was looking for a sugar glider, I found them instead. She is currently pre-adrenal and will get an implant soon.

MARINA: Marina came to us in January 2016 as a very young kit, with five other kits. We found loving homes for three, and I kept the other three.

LUNA:  Luna came into rescue in October 2014 with her sister, Mishka (we lost Mishka 6/20/17). They were living free roam with German Shepherds, left to defend themselves. They were physically and mentally abused. Luna rebounded pretty quickly, but to this day will give you love nips if you reach in the cage and don't pay attention to her!

ZURI: Zuri came in with Marina and four other kits. He and his sister, Marina, just turned two in November 2017.

RYDER:  Ryder was found while I was looking at Craigslist ads for a friend's missing ferret. When I walked into the small concrete house, that had no power during the summer, I saw him in a guinea pig cage with feces so old they were white, no food or water, nails curled into his pads, with a rusty coffee can hung from the top with baling twine. The cage was covered in flies, and he was covered in fleas. Ryder was in the early stages of heat stroke. I grabbed him and ran. He's a Waardy, so I made the decision to keep him as a permanent resident.

NANUQ: I found him on Craigslist in December 2015 being given away. Posted photos showed a very sick ferret. He was emaciated, blowing his coat and at his emergency vet visit was found to have insulinoma and a very severe case of ear mites, which took almost a month to clear.
